We have again successfully replaced an ageing SBS Server for one of our clients who operates in the Recruitment sector. Product compatibility, ageing hardware and unsupported software were the leading factors for change which saw the utilisation of several Cloud products from our portfolio to provide a hybrid cloud solution.
The products utilised included Office 365 for email, Exclaimer Cloud for email signature management and marketing, Solarwinds Backup providing streamlined Cloud storage, Autotask for Remote Monitoring & Management, Splashtop for remote working, and Sophos Cloud with Web Content Filtering for endpoint security.
To extend hardware life, improve performance, and ensure future software compatibility, we also undertook a PC upgrade plan where existing units had new SSD Hard Drives fitted and the Operating System upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10.
The work was carried out over the weekend to minimise disruption and we liaised closely with our client and their third-party system providers to ensure a smooth transition. Although not required, our after-sales support team were on hand to offer assistance to staff and deal effectively with any queries.
